Krista Hildebrandt – Private instructor for piano / MYC group instructor / Owner

I’m Krista Hildebrandt. I’m 38 years old and I absolutely love teaching music!

I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 17 years now and we have two beautiful children who are currently enrolled in the Music for Young Children program at the studio.

I started playing the piano as a very young child. In elementary school I ventured out and learned to play the flute and sang in the choir. In high school I added the piccolo and oboe to my resume. I studied the history of music at Vancouver Island University, and performed in the choir. I have completed my Theory Rudiments and Harmony 3 and am currently working towards my Harmony 4 and Grade 10 practical with the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.

The study of music can be so exciting, and there are many different avenues these days that you can explore. At Discovery Music Studio in Nanaimo we personalize a program for you that fits your child's needs and desires.
